Well, I’ve done it!!! I’ve hit the century mark! This is my 100th post, and over the weekend I welcomed my 100th follower!! When I started this blog several months ago I had no idea the world it would open up to me. I have gained new “friends,” found inspiration and encouragement for new projects, and discovered a whole new appreciation for all things thrifty and vintage.
In honor of these two milestones, I’m hosting a giveaway for all my loyal readers, old and new. I’m calling it the
Super-Crafty Giveaway of the Century
Here’s what you can win:
1. A Re-Purposed Vintage Spice Rack. See how I transformed mine into a paint organizer here. I will paint and personalize this one to coordinate to your decor or leave it plain for you to embellish yourself.
2. An Unfinished Wood Frame. Visit my Etsy shop and get inspired to create your own embellished frame!
3. A Set of Paint Brushes, including 5 artist’s brushes, one foam brush, and one natural bristle brush.
4. Two Small Spiral Notebooks. One for your “Crazy Ideas” and one for your “Good Ideas.” Keep these handy in your purse or tote bag for those moments when inspiration hits.
5. A Stencil/Stamp Set. This will help you personalize a multitude of projects, like that picture frame you’re going to be painting.
6. A Set of 2 Re-Useable Shopping Bags. Fold these up and keep them in your purse or car and help out the environment while shopping for craft supplies.
Are you excited yet?? Since so many of you have inspired me to create, I thought I’d put together a little giveaway that would inspire you to create something for yourself. I can’t wait to pick a winner!
Here’s how to enter:
Leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite creative and/or money-saving craft organization tip.
It’s that simple, I just want to pick your brain! It doesn’t necessarily have to be craft-related, just something you do or use to stay organized. I’ll do a post featuring my favorite tips later this month. Be sure & leave your email address if you don't have a blog or if you post as "Anonymous" so I'll have a way to get in touch with you if you win!!

ReplyDeleteFOLLOWER!
ReplyDeleteMy thrifty craft idea is making coasters out of tile. I buy the tiles at Lowe's find a cute rubber stamp and use the StazOn ink pad. Makes cute and cheap (the tiles I buy cost .28) gift.
ReplyDeleteI will be doing a tutorial later this week on my blog for all two of my followers.... guess I really should post more.
I am currently a follower of your blog
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on both of the 100's. That is indeed a milestone. Your giveaway is wonderful. I have really enjoyed your blog. My favorite DIY is shopping the house and rearranging with what I already have. Saves a lot of money and really changes things up. Congratulations again. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYou are too-o-o- crafty, I wonder where you get it?!?!?! Favorite organizor, my peg board with hooks to hold all my curly ribbon in soap room.
ReplyDeletewhat a clever give away. I have to think about my tip so I will stop back.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 100th! I'll definitely follow you in the future!
ReplyDeleteMy organization tip: One person's trash is another person's treasure! Garage sales, thrift stores, trash piles are so much fun if you have the patience!
My favorite creative tip is to love spray paint.... it works on so much! and if you don't like the way it comes out, you can just do it over again!
ReplyDeleteps.. what a great giveaway!
Organizational tip: I use my gmail calendar. I can access it from any computer, so I know what is coming up in my hectic schedule.
ReplyDeleteI've been following you on the nest.com. Now I've become a fan on facebook too!
ReplyDeleteWow, how nice. those are great items. I don't have my own space yet, but they would look great in a space when i do. :) the only tip i would have is to don't keep what you don't need.
ReplyDeleteCUTE!
ReplyDeleteI like to use jars- from sauces, salsa or whatever... and mod podge to cover the outside in magazine cut-outs or cute paper scraps. I use them to hold pencils, markers, etc on my craft table!
Congrats on the anniversary!! I like to use old jars for all my little pieces of random stuff. I also have a 3-drawer rolling bin with more supplie, and yeah, it's nice to have a walk-in closet for all of my stuff, lol.
ReplyDeleteI wrap my ribbons around doll pins and secure with a ball headed straight pin. I then store them in a handled carrier. Works like a charm! I'm pretty sure I'm already following you here, twitter, and etsy! ♥ I'm going to go tell people about this ASAP!
ReplyDeleteI tweeted, and blogged, and "shared" your facebook page.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog! I love all the beautiful projects!

My craft tip : Mod Podge can cure anything! Also, Thrift stores and garage sales are great places to get baskets and trays to decorate and use to store all your crafting supplies :)

ReplyDeleteI have linked your blog/giveaway to my blog!

money saving tip: I use coupons as much as I can when I'm buying anything craft related. You can sign up for emails from most companies that give you offers for free paper or a percentage off your purchase.
ReplyDeleteI'm not too creative when storing my craft stuff. I use plastic bins in multiple sizes. I like them cause it keeps things organized and you can see through the plastic so you know what's in them. You can get bins for good prices now because it's back to school time.
I'm a follower too. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWe love to scout out garage sales and Goodwill for craft supplies, also schools at the end of the year generally throw away everything- markers, pens, paper, notebooks, etc., etc., etc!
ReplyDeleteYou can screw lids of jars into the bottom of a shelf and then attach the jar. When you need the items, undo the jar, but the lid stays there. This gives extra storage without needing counter space or shelving space.

Me? Have a craft organization tip? I really don't that's why I would need that spice rack! The only thing I do is use lots of old jars, and one of those little metal card catalogue cabinets, and just pack that full of stuff. It's ordered chaos...I know where everything is!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Carol
I just this very second became a follower!
ReplyDeletePlastic drawers help me stay organized. Also good for toys such as matchbox cars, and action figures! I've also saved many of the Gerber baby food containers (the plastic ones with the lids), perfect for safety pins, buttons, and other small items, it helps keep my plastic drawers organized!
ReplyDeleteIt might sound silly, but leftover makeovers saves money. For example, I have left over mashed potatoes, and I found a recipe for potato bread using mashed potatoes!
Spray paint works wonders! You can quickly transform something old, and give it a second life! I have furnished my two daughter's rooms just by painting old inexpensive, but good quality furniture! All it needed was a little TLC and some paint! Enjoy your 100th celebration! That's quite an accomplishment! I have a long ways to go! Pamela
My favorite money saving tip for organizing my space is nothing new but worth mentioning again....thrift stores. I too am a fan of old spice racks and have recently purchased two at the thrift store. They are in my studio and the numerous spice bottles are storing all sorts of small embellishments. I painted the spice racks black and distressed/antiqued them. I think they looks great in my space. I also found several vintage locker baskets at a "junk" store for $5.00 apiece. These have been really usedful in helping me organize my studio closet. Congratulations on your 100th post and your 100th follower. I already follow your blog and enjoy reading it.
ReplyDelete100 followers is quite something, congratulations! Lovely giveaway, too.
ReplyDeleteFor storage and organization, I love the mini wooden drawers which Ikea sell. Although I do need to give mine a makeover, they've been sporting the same look for about 10 years now...
I use old glass jars to keep all of my tools organized. That way I don't have to spend money on containers and everything is nice and visible through the glass.
ReplyDeleteYou know that I have been coveting one of those paint racks!
ReplyDeleteMy tip has to do with managing paints, specifically those huge gallon size mistints that I seem to collect like crazy. My guy drinks Folgers coffee and it comes in those 13 ounce plastic containers. They are the perfect size for paints. I just pour the paint in from the big hunking cans. They are just the right size for my hands, airtight, fit any size brush that I use and have plenty of room for mixing other colors in as well.
I am a follower:)
ReplyDeleteand now I follow you on twitter:)
ReplyDeleteI love the items in your Etsy shop and would like to see more of thefleur de lis embellished wood frames! So very classic! :o)
ReplyDeleteMy best money-saving craft tip are coupons! I get JoAnn's coupons via email as well as Michael's, and will very rarely buy ANYTHING without a coupon! :)
ReplyDeleteI have lots of boxes of storage containers to organize my mounds of craft stuff.
ReplyDeleteMy craft organization has to do with projects I do with my toddler. First, I collect everyday household stuff like empty toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls. We save them to use for projects, to bang to gether to make music (or just NOISE!), etc. I keep it all in a dollar store plastic bin. I've saved bits of wrapping paper from her party presents so we can decoupage together too. A toddler loved ripping paper and using glue! We have a large armoire in our toy/play room to store (a.k.a. HIDE) a lot of toys - the top shelf is for craft items to do together.
ReplyDeleteSecond, i use a pill sorter from a dollar store for paint for my little one. It holds a small enough amount for her, and snaps close to save the paint for later use. Now wasting, and easy to store back on our art shelf - and clean too!

ReplyDeleteI love the "Antique Ceiling Tile Door or Wall Hanging/Sign Personalized with Initial or Name"!
ReplyDeleteone more comment - idea for your etsy shop:
ReplyDeletei'd love to see one of your antique tiles two-sided - with "Kitchen is Open" and "Kitchen is Closed" printed on them, with a grogeous ribbon. Preferably to hang in my very own kitchen...I could send you some pictures so you can make it match :)
Sometimes you just have one of those days when you want to use something like that!!!!

ReplyDeleteCool giveaway!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy fave new way to conserve craft wise, is to make fabric buttons with my scraps! So addictive, great way to use scraps and maybe make a few extra bucks :)
I love to re-purpose items, i.e. pillow cases/sheets into tank tops, dog bed covers, tote bags. And I buy my pillow cases and sheets at thrift stores and garage sales (and I sometimes find other items to re-purpose too!)
ReplyDeleteI am a follower of your blog and a fan on facebook, I love your stuff!

I just bought an old printers tray and it's my favorite new organizing tool in my craftroom!
ReplyDeleteHmm my favorite craft thing for organzing I got at Target and its one of those snapable clear boxes. I keep all my paints, brushes, and markers in it. And then if I want to paint somewhere besides home it has a handle and I just carry it with me! Happy 100 followers and 100 blog post to you! Yay! Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI use see through containers for everything and for ribbons, etc I try to color code everything.
