Happy Mardi Gras

pggfleurdilis

Happy Mardi Gras! Today culminates weeks of partying in New Orleans and all over the gulf states.  We had a great time at a couple parades last weekend and I’m sad to see all my Mardi Gras decorations go back into storage.

I celebrated Mardi Gras here on the blog a few weeks ago; if you missed it, be sure and check out the following posts:

  1. Christy, I'm with ya girl! This morning we are going to the Red Hat Lady Parade and then that's it for Mardi Gras for us. We won't go to the big parade tonight (too much drunkeness for this girl and her 2 year old). Instead I'm hosting craft night for a few friends. But I can't wait to put out some spring stuff, I'm hoping the spring weather follows quickly too, I'm tired of being cold! haha! Happy Mardi Gras!

  2. Happy Mardi Gras!
I am ready for spring. I didn't bother to decorate for Valentine's this year. It was to cold to get up in the attic and pull everything down. But I am hoping that changes soon so I can pull down the St. Patrick's Day and Easter stuff.

  3. I made jambalaya in honor of Mardi Gras this weekend. I love jambalaya. I don't know which I like more eating or saying jambalaya. It just is such a happy word. I do know that next year I am going to have to make a Mardi Gras wreath. Your post inspired me!

  4. Art came home the other day saying, "They had this cake for Mardi Gras, it looked really cool." I said, "You mean a King Cake?"

Now he wants me to make one. Don't you have to put a baby or something in there?

I am sad that Lent is here. Another season where I try to give something up only to fail miserably.

  5. LOVING your blog - just found it. S. Louisiana is special to us, also. Husband was born in Raceland, lots of relatives in S. La. Daughter loving LSU & Mardi Gras, of course! I love your Mardi Gras decor, can't wait to glitter up the house next year! (After I figure out where I'm going to put everything afterward.)

  7. Nice! When I was a student, our college had a fashion show themed Mardi Gra and I was really amazed with how it turned out because everything really looks so amazing. I think that it's the most amazing theme. Thanks for this post.
