Remember these canvases I picked up for 20 cents each at Goodwill?
They’ve been turned into this:
I’m not through with them yet, I still have go back and add more adhesive to attach the scrapbook paper to the canvases and add a couple layers of modge podge to the top and sides. For some reason my spray adhesive didn’t work very well on this project and the paper is peeling off. I’m thinking I’ll also add some rhinestones, too.
What are you working on right now?
I love them! Do you hand paint the fleur de lis or use a stencil?
ReplyDeleteAwesome transformation. I love the vision you had to take those bright canvases and turn them into elegant art! And for 20 cents each!! Thrifty and elegant.

Love them, in the future if you do more, modpodge them to the canvas instead of with adhesive. Works 100 times better.
ReplyDeleteMe likey! I am working on my magazine rack today. It turned out a bit too bright green, so I am staining over the top of the paint.
ReplyDeleteHey I love fleur de lis, since you scored so many of them, feel free to send one my way. Turned out great!
