….a continuation from yesterday’s post
Here are a few more simple ways to carry the party theme throughout your house with some fun decorations.
Bunting along the staircase banister:
We simply intertwined a long foot-wide strip of burlap along with some sparkly accent fabric in between the staircase rails and tied in strips of bandana fabric every so often.
Dress up your chandelier with coordinating decorations:
Again we used the burlap and sparkle fabric and accented with fabric ties. The bandana stars hanging at the bottom were found in the Christmas ornaments at Hobby Lobby. Don’t forget to look in unconventional places for your decorations!
A simpler version over the kitchen table:
A cute centerpiece using ceramic boots with bandanas tucked inside. You could also use a real pair of boots or an upside down cowboy hat.
Don’t forget to coordinate the cake! If you are having your cake professionally made, it’s helpful to bring your baker an invitation, napkin or plate that coordinates with your theme. Cover a piece of cardboard in coordinating fabric to make a custom serving tray!
And there you have it! Most of the fun at this party took place outdoors, but it’s always nice to have some finishing touches indoors where the adults tend to congregate. Of course I didn’t get any photos of the outdoor decorations, but just imagine hay bales, bandanas, and fun multicolored banners!
Tomorrow I’ll share my “tu-tu” cute gift for the birthday girl!
This is so adorable! I love all the decorations on the chandeliers. Very well done!
ReplyDeleteI love the stair railing. Everything turned out so cute. Don't you just love decorating for parties? I'm having a giveaway too this week if you'd like to stop by.
ReplyDeleteNote to self - buy a chandelier, so that in future I'll be able to decorate it like you did!
