What Santa Brought Me

I received a few crafting-related goodies for Christmas, I hope “Santa” was as good to you as he was to me!

I’m really excited about the “Sew What Pro” software that my mom and dad gave me, along with some beautiful bamboo towels.  The software makes is easy to combine designs and files and will make my embroidery machine much more fun to use!  My “nieces” (thanks, Jessica!) gave me a gift card to Hancock Fabrics, so as soon as they put their thread on sale I’m going to head over there and stock up! I’ve got some Mardi Gras ideas in mind that I’ve got to get started on soon.

IMG_0010My mom also found these gorgeous vintage earrings that I’ll use to embellish some new frames:

My family and friends were so generous and thoughtful with their gifts, I’d love to list everything with photos here, but I at least wanted to highlight some of my favorites.

Last but not least, my hubby really proved he knows the true me when he surprised me with this fab.u.lous trench coat:

IMG_3845Um, hellllloooo??!?! It has FLEUR DE LIS all over it!  My obsession is complete!

coatI hope everyone else’s holiday was as good as mine! Have a great weekend, and………

  2. I love that coat, Christy! Not only do I love the fleur on it, but the bottom looks like it has that nice full flaired skirty thing I've been noticing and liking lately. Your hubby did a great job!

You got some really thoughtful gifts and I love when people {even me} take the time to give something that people can actually use. Of course, it helps if you know their hobbies and such.
