It’s been a while since I’ve featured my sweet Gidget, have y’all missed her? Now that spring is here, she’s finally ready to come out of her winter cocoon. You didn’t think I would leave her out of the ruffle craze, now did you?
I had this onesie that I appliquéd with a fleur de lis, except it got a tiny hole in it , so I knew I couldn’t sell it. I tried it on Gidget, and whaddaya know it fit her perfectly! I couldn’t leave the bottom part with the snaps, because she wasn’t too fond of the fabric between her back legs, so I cut off the bottom to make it into a dress.
I hemmed the t-shirt with a zig-zag stitch. Then attached a tulle and fabric ruffle across the bottom.
Then it was time for a little modeling session in the backyard. She’s a natural!
Of course, if you don’t have an adorable little dog, I suppose you could make one of these for your adorabl3 little baby girl!

Gidget is so special in all of her fleur de lis and ruffled cuteness! I don't know that I could get Murphy to sit still long enough to wear something like that.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so cute. You are right, she is a natural! Now if you made those for a 120 lb Great Dane.....
ReplyDeleteVery fun and Gidget is just so photogenic.

LOL! I love it. I wish my babes would stay in his sweater, after a few minutes he gets it off.

Haha! I must say that I really love the ruffles. That dog really looks like she is ready for a ballet recital. Haha.
