Spirit Friday: Embellished Bayou Goes Wholesale

I’m so excited to have just finished my first wholesale embroidery order for a shop in Baton Rouge, LA!  Here are the things I sent:

I’ve been taking a few items here and there to a local boutique on consignment, but this is my first “big” wholesale order, and hopefully she’ll be a repeat customer!

Obviously, LSU and Saints merchandise is very hot right now, so I catered my items to that market. 

These items will be available in my Etsy shop soon!

The Tigers have a huge game this weekend, and I’m pretty nervous about it.  Who knows how they will do….maybe this is a sign of good luck and they will pull off a big win!

Spirit Friday

Well, that was a difficult loss for the Saints last weekend, but we still love our boys in black!  I made a couple new Saints things with my embroidery machine this week and thought I would share. 

The first is a custom Travel Tumbler:

Love the sequin fabric for the appliqué! 

And a “Who Dat” fleur de lis dishtowel, perfect for football season!

And of course I can’t leave out the Tigers! This football tee really turned out cute.

Valance From Table Runner: Version Two

A couple weeks ago, I asked for opinions on my table runner turned valance.  While I got positive feedback, I really wasn’t happy with the look, so my mom and I made some revisions.

In case you can’t tell, we combined two table runners and added some pleats to give it more volume and depth.  Now it doesn’t look like I just stretched a table runner across the window!

It took some very advanced mathematical calculations (ie trial & error) to get the pleats spaced right, and I’m really happy with the end result.

We also made a coordinating one for the kitchen window.

So, at $6.00 per runner, that’s $18 for TWO custom window treatments! Add in the cost of the wood plus tax and we’re talking less than $30, which is still less than the cost of ONE bamboo shade!  Works for me!

Productive Weekend: Candle Embellishments and Frames

I was finally able to get back in the craft room this weekend after spending the past few weekends on our kitchen renovation (don’t worry, updated photos coming soon).  I made a few new candle embellishments and frames for my Etsy shop. 

I think this is one of my favorite frames I’ve ever made.  I still can’t decide if I want to keep it for myself or list it!

I just decided to do a random collection of new and old fleur de lis and vintage jewelry.

And of course I had to bling it out with some Swarovski crystals!

This one was a custom order, which I love doing!

Shabby chic style! And some new candle embellishments! These make great holiday gifts.  I’m working on getting these listed in my Etsy shop over the next few days.  Perfect for New Orleans Saints fans, too!
