I’m joining Karen at My Desert Cottage for her first ever blog party showing off everyone’s creative spaces. I’ve gotten more and more hooked on crafting (especially making personalized frames and tins) over the last year, so it’s great that I have a dedicated space to use. I do most of my crafting in our office. So here are some photos of the room all nice and neat:
The desktop computer isn’t there anymore, so I have more desk space for my painting and crafting. The large TV is also gone and now replaced with this desk:
Now I have a great space for my sewing projects and I don’t have to mess up the dining room! Okay, here’s what it normally looks like when I’m in the middle of a project (or two):
I use most of the space in the closet for my craft supply storage.
Here’s a more detailed view. Yes, I went slightly OCD with the arrows:
I also store some supplies (like glitter, glue, scissors, carbon paper & stamps) in the desk drawers:
Well, that’s it! I feel lucky that I can just make a mess in here and then just walk away from it or shut the door without the whole house looking messy. I’ve got some great work surfaces, but I could always use more space! I can’t wait to see everyone else’s crafty spaces!
I’m also linking up with Hooked on Houses for Hooked on Friday!
P,S. If you liked my craft paint organizer (in the closet), stay tuned for a chance to win one of your very own personalized just the way you want, I’ll be doing a giveaway soon!
love your post & love your craft room. A great space! I didn't even think to open up drawers and cupboards to show my supplies.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of space. Makes me wish I had done a before and after, or during! While creating my room is in total chaos. Love the closet cabinet!

You must be a very crafty lady. I'm not especially, I love to decorate mostly. But you do have a great space to work in and don't worry about the mess, that is called NORMAL. Hugs ~cindy s~
ReplyDeleteCan I move into your craft room? I love it! I want one but first need a house but before that need to sell the house that is now 1000+ miles away. Got a lot to do.

It looks so familiar to see what happens to a creative space when it is used :-). I love the explanation arrows, it makes peeping in your storage so much more fun, thanks! Have a lovely day and a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so nice to have a space in which to create? I used the dining room table before I had my studio. Now I can just close the door and leave the "current project" out.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get my studio photographed for today's event, but I will be hosting a Christmas in July giveaway on my blog tomorrow (Sat), if you'd like to stop by!

I like how closets can hold everthing and still look great. The window is a great focal point. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think messing up the dining room is a requirement on the road to being a true crafter. You my dear have a delightful craft office. So nice and tidy. It's my dream to keep my new craft room clean. We'll see how long that lasts.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the tour. Loved meeting you.

I'm finally here, sugar!!! It's taking me a while to get around to "where bloggers create" but I'm a determined chick and will do this if hubs has to pick me up off the floor to go to bed. Darling space. Just wish I had a big room to create in. Nice meeting you and love your use of the "arrows" - very ingenious, chick........

Thanks for sharing your space. I'm new to blogging...just started in June right after I started trying to do mixed media do-it-yourself style. You've given me a lot of ideas. The down side is I need a bulldozer to clear out my space and one wouldn't fit in my small, small room.
